Epoxy Mica mid-primer
Categorize: Heavy-duty anticorrosive paints
Product Details
Component
This product is a main paint composed of epoxy resin, cloud iron anti rust pigment, and various imported additives. It is a thick two-component room temperature curing anti-corrosion coating with polyamide and composite amine as curing agents. The product has options of mica iron oxide Red and mica iron oxide Grey, and is a widely used heavy-duty anti-corrosion universal intermediate paint.
Features & Application
The product has excellent adhesion to black metals such as steel, and has excellent resistance to chemical media corrosion and rust prevention performance. It is used for heavy corrosion protection of steel equipment with high corrosion resistance requirements in petrochemical plants, power plants, seaports, offshore platforms, and various steel products with high protection requirements such as vehicles and machine tools. It is also used as a protective primer or intermediate paint on the surface of various steel products.
Technical Data
Surface Treatment
The surface treatment of new steel generally requires reaching the standard of Sa2.5 or St3 or above; the surface of the substrate coated with primer or intermediate paint should be kept clean. When applying on old epoxy or polyurethane paint films, the old paint films should be polished to increase roughness.
Operation Parameters
Mixing Ratio:Coating:JBG40 Curing Agent =7:1(Weight Ratio,5℃~15℃ Use JHG45 Curing Agent while operating)
Matching used product
The front matching primer can be epoxy zinc rich primer or directly used, and the rear matching topcoat can be acrylic polyurethane topcoat. Other matching coatings can be customized as request.
Matching use diluent: JHX01
Repainting interval: minimum 8 hours; the maximum duration is 15 days; if the interval is too long, the surface should be lightly ground or sandblasted with a sandblasting machine to remove the zinc salts that have already been produced.
Precautions
The operation temperature should be between 5 ℃ and 35 ℃, and the humidity should not exceed 85%. The surface temperature of the substrate should be at least 3 degrees higher than the dew point; the product must be thoroughly stirred and evenly mixed before use, and frequent stirring is required during use to prevent sedimentation; Outdoor painting cannot be carried out due to severe weather conditions such as rain, snow, and sandstorms.
Packaging, Storage, and Transportation
Sealed packaging in iron drums, this product should be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry place, isolated from sources of fire, and away from heat sources. The storage period is 12 months.
